Herringbone Pi Shawl
The Herringbone Pi Shawlette is an exercise in texture and color. It resembles a circular capelet, but has no buttons or buttonholes for maximum flexibility in wearing options. Leave it open and draped around your shoulders or use your favorite shawl jewelry to keep it closed.
Featuring a collar and lower edging that use the same simple accordion rib pattern, the body is constructed using the top-down pi shawl shaping method from color blocks of a simple slip-stitch pattern that changes direction with each tier.
The shawlette is worked flat and all in one piece on a long circular needle so the only finishing is weaving in the ends.
It’s a statement piece that‘s sure to impress, but there’s no need to tell anyone how easy it was to make.
